The candidate will be responsible for assembling recorded footage into a finished project that matches the director’s vision and is suitable for broadcasting.
Ultimately, as a Photo / Video Editor, you should be able to bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story.
Responsibilities
Snap and edit pictures/videos
Manipulate and edit pictures/video pieces in a way that is visible and audible to the audience
Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects
Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and the industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a Degree in Film Studies, Cinematography, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years experience as a video editor.
Proficient in editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Light, Premiere, After Effects, and Final Cut)
Must presently be a video editor or equivalent position
Competencies:
Digital technology
Pictures/Video editing ability with a strong portfolio
