About Job
Novada Health is seeking a compassionate and qualified School Nurse to join our team. The School Nurse will be responsible for providing healthcare services to students, promoting health education, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment within the school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assessing and treating minor illnesses and injuries among students and staff.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Maintaining accurate health records for all students.
- Developing and implementing health education programs for students, staff, and parents.
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and healthcare professionals to promote a healthy school environment.
- Responding to medical emergencies and providing appropriate care.
- Maintaining confidentiality of student health information.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) certification.
- Experience working in a school or pediatric healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and organized in emergency situations.
- Knowledge of current healthcare practices and regulations.
