Job Description

Job Role :

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Business Development Executive to help expand our business, lead new business development, and facilitate innovative software consulting engagements with clients. The successful candidate in this role will be responsible for driving company sales by sourcing new clients, and by convincing existing clients to purchase added offerings.

This role requires a unique combination of business development, B2B and B2C sales experience within IT services. The role requires strong commercial acumen, the ability to get to know the business quickly and develop a broad range of relationships, and a proactive, engaging and energetic style. You will need to combine strong leadership, communications and client relationship skills with a credible level of technical understanding. You will use this to build relationships within our prospective client’s IT functions, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor to identify opportunities to transform their technical architecture. You will then work with our business and technical experts to build and pitch compelling proposals for Gurugeeks Royalty Ltd to support this.

Responsibilities:

  • Familiarize yourself with all products and services offered by our company.
  • Identifying opportunities to expand and extend Gurugeeks role within our existing client portfolio.
  • Work with the Product, Marketing, and Business Units to develop and implement marketing campaigns and sales strategies to find new business opportunities and ensure the growth of the company’s customer base.
  • Respond to new business opportunities, mobilizing a team with the necessary technical skills to help you lead the sale and facilitate the delivery of new software consultancy engagements to clients.
  • Preparing and delivering pitches and presentations to potential new clients.
  • Developing and presenting proposals customized for each client’s specific business needs.
  • Procuring new clients through direct contact, word-of-mouth, and collaboration with other Business units and Management.
  • Attending networking activities to research and connect with prospective clients.
  • Maintaining meaningful relationships with existing clients to ensure that they are retained.
  • Suggesting upgrades or added products and services that may be of interest to clients.
  • Negotiating with clients to secure the most attractive prices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum HND Degree or higher in Marketing, Business Administration, information technology or other related field
  • 2 or more years of experience leading IT services sales and consulting engagements, likely in a technology consultancy or professional services business.
  • Background of demonstrable growth within new business and existing clients
  • Direct accountability for revenue and gross margin performance in an IT consultancy or professional services business
  • A good understanding of how to implement successful IT programmes in an Agile environment.
  • A track record of generating leads and conversion to clients.
  • A proven record of consistent KPI deliveries.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills.
  • Ability to relate technical information to non-technical clients/customers.
  • Good leadership and team-working skills.

Other Attributes:

  • Able to work both independently and in a cooperative team environment to achieve goal.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Understanding of IT Software development and lifecycle.
  • Ability to translate strategic business objectives into commercial proposals and communicating them to all levels of a client’s organisation.
  • Strong general account management and client service skills.
  • Strong commercial skills.
