Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner upon their arrival at the restaurant.
- Present menus to guests, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are noted.
- Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff and coordinate the timing of food and drinks to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Serve food and beverages to guests with precision, adhering to presentation and service standards.
- Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or additional needs.
- Clear tables and reset them for the next guests in a timely manner.
- Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately, or assist with using POS systems for credit card payments.
- Collaborate with team members, including kitchen staff and fellow servers, to ensure smooth service flow.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the dining area and server station.
- Uphold hygiene and safety standards, following proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of tables, chairs, and other equipment for events or special occasions.
