[Vacancy] Chef Needed At 911 Bar (Ile-Ife)

Job Details:

We are looking to hire a trained chef, that will be responsible for crafting different delicious menu, working with our existing and developing new recipes for the food arm of our enterprise, and ensuring that each dish is nutritious and cost-effective and collaborating with the kitchen team.
To be successful in this role you must be a trained and certified cook/chef, well-versed in the culinary arts and adhere to strict standards of hygiene and cleanliness and vice-versa.

Advanced knowledge of the culinary arts.
Perfectionism in sanitation and quality control.
Good work ethic in a high-pressure environment.
Creative with good knowledge of Nigerian and continental dishes.
Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment.
Excellent time management abilities.
Ability to multitask and remain calm during peak period.
Keen attention to details.
Have the stamina to take long hours on your feet and the ability to multitask.
In-depth knowledge of the use of recipe book, sanitation principles, food preparation and nutrition.
Passion and pride for delighting people with food.
Past experience as a working chef or relevant role.

Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales
Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
Cook food in a timely manner
Delegate tasks to kitchen staff
Inform wait staff about daily specials
Ensure appealing plate presentation
Supervise Cooks and assist as needed
Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)
Monitor food stock and place orders
Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
