Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a Front Desk Officer who will be responsible for welcoming customers and maintaining good customer relations. You must be a self-starter and be comfortable discussing products or services over the phone as well as dealing with inquiries, complaints, and doubts.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Salon Supervisor, in efficient day-to-day running of the salon and retail shop.
  • Greet customers, respond to questions, and provide outstanding customer service
  • Answer phone calls and messages about inquiries and handling complaints in a courteous, professional manner
  • Direct customers to products within the shop and assist in packing the products to the front desk for invoicing and payment.
  • Operate cash register, manage financial transactions, and balance cash book
  • Proactively identify relevant stock required in the salon and retail shop and forward requisition requests to the salon on a timely basis
  • Maintain accurate and updated records of salon transactions and activities
  • Manage the arrangement, layout, and organization of the Salon and retail shop
  • Develop service and product knowledge by consistently learning about salon services, and product-vendor resource materials and attending training classes in order to communicate it to the customer
  • Stay current with promotional events and sales
  • Prepare periodic activity/management reports for the attention of the Salon Supervisor/Manager/CEO
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Salon Manager or CEO

Requirements

  • Minimum of HND/ Bachelor’s degree in business administration, hospitality, or relevant field¬†
  • 1+ year experience as a Receptionist, Customer Service Representative, or Front desk officer.
  • Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools and sales software.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative
  • Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business
  • Good organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to recommend services and sell products to customers to meet their hair needs.
  • Ability to handle challenging and sometimes emotional situations and customers
  • Ability to work weekends (Saturdays & Sundays) and holidays. Weekday off (Tuesdays)
  • Location: Surulere (Full Time, On-Site)
