Responsibilities
- The main role of an accountant is to collect, analyze, record, and report the financial data of the school.
- Ensure that a company complies with all the government rules and regulations.
- Also helps analyze financial data to make data-driven business decisions
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations in a similar role
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident in using Information Management Systems and able to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and communicate financial data at all levels of an organization.
- Sound knowledge of accounting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Maintain strict confidentiality where appropriate.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a clear focus on customer service.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, CIMA, ACCA, or ACA, CPA) is strongly preferred.
- Proven 5 – 10 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably in an educational institution.
- Proven experience in financial reporting and in the preparation of management accounts, forecasts, and statutory accounts.
