Job Title: Welder
Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Remuneration: Monthly salary ranging from N55,000 to N60,000.

Responsibilities:

Analyze blueprints and drawings and make precise measurements for planning layouts and procedures.
Select the appropriate welding equipment and techniques based on project requirements.
Prepare components for welding, including cutting materials using powered saws to meet specified measurements.
Utilize angle grinders to properly prepare parts for welding.
Ensure component alignment using calipers, rulers, and clamps.
Perform welding tasks using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various orientations (vertical, horizontal, overhead).
Execute machinery and component repairs by welding pieces and filling gaps.
Conduct thorough inspections of welded surfaces and structures to identify any imperfections.
Maintain welding equipment to ensure safety standards are upheld.

Requirements and Skills:

Possession of a Professional Certification (e.g., AWS welding certificate) is a valuable asset.
Proven track record of prior welding experience.
Proficiency in utilizing a range of welding equipment and techniques (TIG, MMA, etc.).
Competence in using both electrical and manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.).
Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings accurately.
Familiarity with safety standards and a commitment to wearing appropriate protective gear (face-shield, gloves, etc.).
Exceptional dexterity and attention to detail.
Proficiency in English language.
Completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is mandatory.
