Job Description:

- Precisely diagnosing engine and mechanical/electrical problems in vehicles.
- Inspecting and servicing vehicle computer and electronic systems.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks such as fluid replacement and parts lubrication to ensure optimal vehicle performance and durability.
- Advising motorists on proper vehicle usage and scheduling future maintenance sessions.
- Effectively repairing or replacing malfunctioning vehicle parts, addressing issues like leaks.
- Providing accurate estimates for repair or maintenance jobs in terms of cost, time, and effort.
- Maintaining comprehensive records of work performed and issues encountered.
- Ensuring that equipment and tools are well-maintained and in proper working condition.
Requirements and Skills:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Minimum of SSCE, Certification from a vocational school, or successful completion of an apprenticeship (preferred).
- Proven experience as an auto mechanic.
- Profound knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
- Proficiency in vehicle diagnostic systems and methodologies.
- Competence in handling a variety of tools (e.g., pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g., lifts).
- A strong commitment to adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents and exposure to hazardous materials.
- Excellent physical fitness.
Remuneration:
Monthly Salary Range: N55,000 – N60,000
