We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Credit Analyst to join our team, responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of loan applicants, performing comprehensive financial analysis, and collaborating with various departments to provide risk mitigation recommendations.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses applying for loans or credit lines by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant financial information.
- Review loan applications and credit requests to determine feasibility and associated risks.
- Perform comprehensive financial analysis, including cash flow projections, income statements, balance sheets, and ratio analysis.
- Conduct thorough credit investigations, verify applicant information, and identify potential risks
- Prepare detailed credit reports and present findings to the management team for review and decision-making.
- Collaborate with sales and relationship management teams to develop appropriate credit solutions based on customer needs.
- Monitor and review existing credit accounts for compliance with terms and conditions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and external parties such as credit bureaus and legal advisors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Proven experience as a Credit Analyst in the financial industry.
- In-depth knowledge of financial statements, credit analysis techniques, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make sound credit decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective presentation of findings and recommendations.
- Proficiency in financial analysis software and tools.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Solid understanding of regulatory compliance related to lending and credit.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to exercise judgment in assessing creditworthiness.
- Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, Certified Credit Analyst (CCA), or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are advantageous.
