We offer the latest generation of offshore support vessels ideally suited to meet the specific needs of various requirements in the oil and gas industry across the world, and are currently categorized “AA” in the marine vessel utilization report of the NCDMB and a growing indigenous Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Installation (EPCI) services provider in Nigeria that specializes in the oil/gas and power sector.
Job Role
- Position the marine subsidiary as an industry leader in the marine industry within a period of 12 months.
- Position the energy subsidiary as an industry leader in the EPCI sector of the oil and gas industry within a period of 12 months.
- Provide management to staff, and leadership to the organization in alignment with the overall strategic vision of the company.
- Develop strategy and planning for the organization’s mid- and long-term objectives.
- Identify and develop Marine and Non-Marine business opportunities.
- Drive company results from both operational and financial perspective.
- Design and develop strategic direction for the business in mid – long term.
- Articulate a vision for the upstream service sector.
- Drive Strategic Business Development initiatives to expand the company’s revenue potential by identifying and developing business opportunities pertaining to EPCI and up/mid-stream sector of the Oil and Gas industry.
- Leverage on understanding of the industry dynamics to oversee bidding and tendering process for contracts.
- Oversee operational and functional areas of the business in accordance with best practice whilst generating management reports.
- Drive business performance by delivering business development excellence through understanding of the client and industry needs, offering them competitive and efficient solutions.
- Supervise and coordinate each project withing strict financial and time budgets.
- Manage relationship with clients, regulatory authorities and other business stakeholders.
- Lead the Management team to achieve optimal efficiency.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy and Execution
- Responsible for the development, maintenance and execution of the overall Organizational strategy for the group.
- Continuous industry surveillance to obtain intelligence that will influence strategy in short, mid and long term.
Leadership
- Lead and develop both companies, and enable capacity building by developing individual team members whilst collaborating with external stakeholders to optimize the company’s potentials.
Business & Market Development
- Whilst consolidating on the robust position of in the marine sector, there is a need to execute an aggressive and strategic incursion into the EPCI market space.
- Develop a detailed knowledge of market intelligence and industry reports.
- Oversee Business development and Sales.
- Develop a detailed knowledge of the EPCI and up/mid -stream sectors of the Oil & Gas industry in Nigeria, and beyond.
- Oversee Business development and Contract/Project management.
- Develop and harness relationships that will pave the way for vital updates on opportunities that can be seized to put The energy subsidiary in a vantage position.
Market Research
- Actively stay abreast of the business environment and industry trends.
- Research and develop turnkey business plans based on recommended areas of opportunities in the upstream service sector of the oil and gas industry.
Opportunity Management
- Accountable for the identification and realization of approved business opportunities with the right partnerships in close collaboration with functional experts.
Lead Generation and Conversion
- Coordinate activities of the business development unit in concert with CEO.
- Actively source new opportunities especially those unpublicized.
- Performing risk assessment on potential contracts and agreements.
Reporting
- Monthly management reports including but not limited to the state of the company’s finances and operating position.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Knowledge, Experience, Technical Skills and Attitudes
- Technical Knowledge: Must possess hands-on knowledge of:
- Supply Chain Management: Proper understanding of Procurement, freight process, inventory and logistics management.
- Marketing: Ability to engage and influence a client; Effective in handling rebuttals and objections; Thinking on the feet
- Negotiation: Ability to secure favorable outcomes, having the flexibility to understand and negotiate alternative contractual and commercial positions with customers (subject to approval).
- Market research/intelligence: Capable of identifying new market and service opportunities through the insight gained from stakeholder interactions.
- Excellent Communication: The ability to plan and deliver oral and written communications that make an impact and persuade their intended audiences. Excellent power-point presentation skill is a must.
- Experience working on engineering projects, or general engineering experience will be advantageous.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years’ experience managing projects in the upstream service sector of the oil & gas industry. Business Development, Sales and/or Marketing experience with specific emphasis on industry experience. Ideal candidate should have good upstream industry contacts.
- Strong Commercial Leadership Skills with proven capability of working in a matrix environment and of leading by influence.
- Meticulous – Attention to detail in planning and communication is an asset.

Qualifications
- B. Sc/ HND, an MBA will be an added advantage
- 7 years experience in senior Management of an organization dealing in EPCI, Energy services in the Oil and gas industry. Must have managed a project of considerable stature in the upstream service sector.
- Experience in Engineering, Supply chain Management, financial management, etc is advantageous.
- Previous work experience in a marine support services company will be an added advantage.
