Bincike International is seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Officer to join our team in Jimeta Yola, Adamawa State.
The HR Officer will play a crucial role in managing human resources functions, ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures, and supporting the organization in achieving its goals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with organizational goals and Nigerian labor laws.
Coordinate the recruitment and selection process, including drafting job descriptions, advertising vacancies, screening applications, and conducting interviews.
Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation sessions and the completion of necessary documentation.
Manage employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
Oversee performance management processes, including setting objectives, conducting performance appraisals, and identifying training and development needs.
Administer employee benefits and compensation programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and competitive positioning in the market.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and employee files.
Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and competencies.
Provide HR support and advice to employees and managers on a range of HR-related matters.
Stay abreast of developments in HR best practices and employment legislation to ensure compliance and effectiveness of HR processes.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field with 3-4 years experience.
Proven experience working in a similar role, preferably in the humanitarian or development sector.
In-depth knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
Strong understanding of HR processes, including recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and resolve conflicts effectively.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
Certification in Human Resources Management (e.g., CIPM, HRCI) is desirable
