Job Description

Position Overview

  • Bincike International is seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Officer to join our team in Jimeta Yola, Adamawa State.
  • The HR Officer will play a crucial role in managing human resources functions, ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures, and supporting the organization in achieving its goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with organizational goals and Nigerian labor laws.
  • Coordinate the recruitment and selection process, including drafting job descriptions, advertising vacancies, screening applications, and conducting interviews.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation sessions and the completion of necessary documentation.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Oversee performance management processes, including setting objectives, conducting performance appraisals, and identifying training and development needs.
  • Administer employee benefits and compensation programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and competitive positioning in the market.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and employee files.
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and competencies.
  • Provide HR support and advice to employees and managers on a range of HR-related matters.
  • Stay abreast of developments in HR best practices and employment legislation to ensure compliance and effectiveness of HR processes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field with 3-4 years experience.
  • Proven experience working in a similar role, preferably in the humanitarian or development sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, including recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
  • Certification in Human Resources Management (e.g., CIPM, HRCI) is desirable
