We are in search of a meticulous and experienced Fixed Asset Manager to join our team. The Fixed Asset Manager will be responsible for overseeing the management, tracking, and optimization of our fixed assets to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and efficient utilization of resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fixed asset management and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement fixed asset management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of fixed assets, including acquisition, depreciation, disposal, and retirement, using appropriate asset management software/systems.
  • Conduct regular physical audits and inspections of fixed assets to verify their existence, condition, and location, and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, and operations, to ensure accurate and timely recording of fixed asset transactions and data.
  • Analyze fixed asset data and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Prepare and analyze fixed asset-related reports, including depreciation schedules, capital expenditure budgets, and variance analyses, for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate fixed asset valuations, appraisals, and impairment assessments in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on fixed asset accounting principles, policies, and procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in fixed asset management, and implement improvements as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA or CFA designation preferred.
  • Proven experience (7 years) in fixed asset management or accounting, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Strong understanding of fixed asset accounting principles, including depreciation methods, capitalization criteria, and impairment testing.
  • Proficiency in fixed asset management software/systems and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
