PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Provide leadership on local regulation compliance across business units in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, focusing primarily on the strategy for all food legislation-related matters within FMN.
Initiating, fostering, and maintaining external partnerships with regulatory organizations such as NAFDAC, NEPZA, and SON.
THE JOB
- Effectively collaborating and managing interface with key regulatory bodies such as SON, and NAFDAC to support FMN’s growth agenda.
- Coordinate with FTZ/NEPZA all regulatory activities prior to submitting to NAFDAC.
- Coordinate regulatory activities of all BUs across the group.
- Deliver all NAFDAC approvals within the timeline.
- Support all Research and Development (R&D) of all NPD and Marketing CVP campaigns/claims.
- Secure import permits for all imported goods, chemicals, and all required items.
- Ensure all products are regulatory compliant.
- Participate in regulatory meetings of NAFDAC, SON, CODEX, MAN, AFBTE, etc.
THE PERSON MUST
- Excellent ability to engage and manage internal and external stakeholders.
- Be able to take initiative, prioritize, multi-task, and manage competing priorities.
- Have excellent communication skills and strong technical writing skills (procedures, protocols, and reports).
- Possesses systematic thinking abilities to demonstrate sound judgment and to problem-solve.
- Possess interpersonal Relationships, cultural awareness, and multi-lingual.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory bodies (GMP- GHP).
- Proven ability to manage organization-wide programs with budget management.
QUALIFICATION
- 1st degree in any science-related courses.
EXPERIENCE
- 5-10 years in a regulatory or in the Food Industry.
- Understanding of Nigeria’s regulatory landscape.
