We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our accounting team as an Account Assistant. The successful candidate will assist with various accounting tasks, including but not limited to bookkeeping, financial record maintenance, and administrative support. Responsibilities

  1. Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including data entry, processing transactions, and reconciling accounts.
  2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  3. Prepare and issue invoices, bills, and statements to clients and vendors.
  4. Assist in the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  5. Support the month-end and year-end close processes by ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
  6. Assist in the preparation of tax returns and compliance documents.
  7. Provide administrative support to the accounting team, including filing documents, answering phone calls, and responding to inquiries.
  8. Collaborate with colleagues to improve accounting processes and procedures.
  9. Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as accounting regulations and standards.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven experience in an accounting or finance role is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and responsibilities.
