Maintenance Officer

  • Job Location: Benin, Edo
  • Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • This role is responsible for the testing, monitoring, installation and troubleshooting as well as technical support for all reactive and preventive repairs and maintenance work in the Abattoir.
  • It is also responsible for ensuring the maintenance of the organization critical asset and development of both preventive and reactive maintenance to keep the Abattoir facilities constantly up and running.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the maintenance and repairing of production equipment such as Machine and Boilers.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting mechanical faults and issues in the production floor.
  • Coduct periodic data analysis to assess the performance of machine within the Abattoir.
  • Complies with all the company safety regulations at all time within the Abattoir.
  • Keeping maintenance log and writing of shifting reports as and when due.
  • Maintain adequate stock level of spare parts for the Abattoir for reactive and preventive maintenance.
  • Inspecting production equipment to ensure proper operation of the Abattoir and safety of personnel.
  • Communicating with and supporting engineers.
  • This role reports to the snr. maintenance lead.
  • Responsible for documenting machine safety and maintenance issues for escalation.
  • Responsible for the preparation of weekly and monthly reports and as and when required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc / HND Engineering
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant maintenance experiencein the cold chain sector.
  • Trade Tests l—lll
  • Knowledge of how to repair blast freezers and coldrooms
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities to completion with tight timelines
  • Preventive maintenance and vendor management skills.
  • Report writing and presentation
  • Possesses leadership skills
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot machinery
  • Preventive and reactive maintenance and vendor management.
  • Sound interpersonal communication skills
  • Possess problem-solving kow how knowledge
  • Analytical mindset.
