Job Summary
Systems Intelligenz, an AV Company needs an Accountant to improve the overall operation and efficiency of the accounting unit, collect and analyze financial data, ensuring that all accounting processes and financial reports comply with statutory requirements and corporate policies.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare annual financial statements and reports in line with international accounting standards.
- Coordinate activities with external auditors for the timely submission and filing of audited financial statement.
- Monitor and update the accounts receivable report, ensuring completion and accurate reporting of all customers account and generating reports to guide collection by sales team while aiding decision making processes.
- Analyze accounting data, resources and investment performances for risk assessment and mitigation
- Managing income and expenditure accounts and generating the financial reports.
- Ensuring that all agreements, transactions, and activities are processed and approved in accordance with the company’s delegation of authority, policies and procedures.
- Business case development and value analysis for cost saving initiatives.
- Ensuring timely preparation and submission of the company’s monthly operational reports to Executives.
- Coordinating fixed asset of the company by recording cost of new fixed assets, monitoring existing assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposal of fixed assets.
- Developing inventory analysis reports, monitoring inventory transactions, reconciliation and analyzing variances.
- Enhancing, developing, and implementing policies and procedures.
- Coordinating receivables by maintaining invoice accounts; monthly transfer to accounts receivable account; verifying totals and preparing report.
- Supervising the daily operational tasks of credit and collections.
- Assisting in preparing and monitoring budgeting and quarterly forecasts.
Requirements:
- Membership of a Professional body and certification (ICAN/ACCA) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience gained in a fast-paced technical, IT and/or Electronics Engineering environment is an added advantage.
