Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage cash flow and liquidity by forecasting cash needs and optimizing working capital.
- Implement effective cash management strategies to support business operations.
- Identify and assess financial risks, proposing mitigation strategies to safeguard the financial health of the organization.
- Ensure compliance with risk management policies and procedures.
- Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
- Conduct regular audits to assess the effectiveness of financial controls.
- Oversee tax planning and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to local and international tax regulations.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and authorities as needed.
- Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to team members for professional development.
- Evaluate and enhance financial systems, tools, and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices for financial operations.
- Communicate financial performance, risks, and opportunities to key stakeholders, including senior management and board members.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
- Manage the external audit process, ensuring timely and accurate provision of required documentation.
- Address audit findings and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- ACA or ACCA certification is a must.
- 5+ years of proven experience in a finance role, with a track record of successful financial leadership.
- Agency banking experience is desired
- Proficiency in Data Analysis, Excel, SAGE, Cost Analysis, Financial Reporting, PowerPoint Presentation
