We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably within the healthcare industry, and possess excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Analyze financial data and provide management with insights and recommendations for informed decision-making.
  • Monitor and reconcile accounts to ensure compliance with accounting principles, policies, and regulations.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, identifying variances and proposing corrective actions.
  • Assist in preparing tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as department heads and administrators, to provide financial guidance and support for budget planning and cost control.
  • Conduct periodic audits of financial transactions, processes, and internal controls to identify potential risks and ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and handle sensitive data with discretion.
  • Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices, recommending improvements to financial processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA) are preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Accountant, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. Experience with QuickBooks or a healthcare-specific financial system is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present financial data effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and analysis.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
