Job Description

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with suppliers and vendors specializing in furniture materials and interior design products.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the best deals while maintaining quality.
  • Collaborate with the projects, store, and production teams to determine material requirements for upcoming projects.
  • Develop procurement strategies and plans to meet project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Analyze supplier quotations, pricing, and terms to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular cost analysis and market surveys to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure all procured materials meet our stringent quality standards.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and track the status of orders to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in the procurement process.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in procurement.
  • Any other task as assigned by the line manager

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • A higher degree/certificate is an added advantage
  • 2 – 3 Years Experience in Procurement/Supply Chain
  • Knowledge of procurement policies and procedures, and experience in developing procurement strategies and implementing best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate bids and proposals and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools, including enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Understanding of supplier risk management and the ability to assess and mitigate risks in the procurement process.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other departments to achieve common goals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
