  • SalesPlat is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Commercials/Business Development Manager to drive the company’s growth and expand the brand’s business in the construction sector.
  • You will be responsible for leading the brand’s commercial and business development efforts in the construction sector.
  • You will identify new business opportunities, develop and maintain relationships with clients, and oversee the financial aspects of projects to ensure profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand the company’s client base.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of bids and proposals for construction projects.
  • Collaborate with the estimating and project management teams to develop competitive proposals.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the company.
  • Review and approve contract documents to mitigate risks and protect the company’s interests.
  • Oversee the financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
  • Monitor project financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities in the construction sector.
  • Use market insights to develop targeted business development strategies and marketing campaigns.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the commercial and business development teams.
  • Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including project management, engineering, and finance, to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as government agencies and regulatory bodies, to facilitate project approvals and permits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s Degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in commercial management, business development, or related roles in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, project costing, and financial management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and construction management software.
