SalesPlat is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Commercials/Business Development Manager to drive the company’s growth and expand the brand’s business in the construction sector.
You will be responsible for leading the brand’s commercial and business development efforts in the construction sector.
You will identify new business opportunities, develop and maintain relationships with clients, and oversee the financial aspects of projects to ensure profitability.
Responsibilities
Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand the company’s client base.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
Lead the preparation and submission of bids and proposals for construction projects.
Collaborate with the estimating and project management teams to develop competitive proposals.
Negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the company.
Review and approve contract documents to mitigate risks and protect the company’s interests.
Oversee the financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
Monitor project financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities in the construction sector.
Use market insights to develop targeted business development strategies and marketing campaigns.
Provide leadership and guidance to the commercial and business development teams.
Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Collaborate with internal teams, including project management, engineering, and finance, to ensure seamless project delivery.
Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as government agencies and regulatory bodies, to facilitate project approvals and permits.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s Degree is a plus.
5+ years of proven experience in commercial management, business development, or related roles in the construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction contracts, project costing, and financial management.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and construction management software.
