Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential customers through cold calling, networking, and other lead generation methods to build a pipeline of sales opportunities.
  • Sales Presentations: Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective customers, highlighting the features, benefits, and value propositions of products or services.
  • Consultative Selling: Understand customer needs, challenges, and goals to recommend solutions that meet their requirements and add value to their business.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with customers to secure sales agreements and achieve revenue targets. Close sales and obtain signed contracts or purchase orders.
  • Sales Reporting: Keep accurate records of sales activities, including contacts, meetings, opportunities, and outcomes, using CRM software or other designated systems.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities for growth and inform sales strategies.
  • Customer Follow-Up: Follow up with customers after the sale to ensure satisfaction, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, or referrals.
  • Sales Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing, product development, and customer support, to align sales efforts with business objectives and support customer needs effectively.

Requirements:

  • Education: A minimum of a first school leaving certificate
  • Sales Experience: Previous experience in sales or customer service is required
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the industry or market segment in which the company operates, including the understanding of customer needs, competitor landscape, and key trends.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively presenting products or services, building rapport with customers, and negotiating sales agreements.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships, influence decision-makers, and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proficiency in negotiation techniques and strategies to navigate price discussions, overcome objections, and close deals successfully.
  • Results Orientation: A results-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving sales targets, meeting quotas, and driving revenue growth.
  • Resilience and Persistence: Resilience and persistence in the face of rejection or setbacks, with the ability to maintain motivation and focus on long-term goals.
  • Technical Proficiency: Basic proficiency in using computers, email, and CRM software to manage sales activities, track leads, and communicate with customers.
