The MRP lead and local material planner are critical to the delivery of supply chain business commitments which means consistency with service across all Brands down to SKU level.
The Material Planner manages Raw and/or Packaging material call-offs to ensure adequate cover for the production plan and manages stocks within working capital targets. Also needs to ensure that both Suppliers and Supplier Management understand material requirements while coordinating and planning the delivery of materials to ensure uninterrupted production and timely delivery of stock.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze inventory levels and forecast demand to determine material requirements for all production facilities.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and timely delivery of materials.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and procurement, to prioritize material orders based on production schedules and demand forecasts.
Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory, aligning with Unilever’s sustainability goals.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the supply chain while adhering to Unilever’s ethical sourcing guidelines.
Generate reports and provide analysis to support decision-making processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to anticipate potential material shortages or price fluctuations.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, Unilever’s policies, and quality standards.
Experiences & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
2 years of experience in material planning, procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably in a manufacturing or production related environment.
Proficiency in inventory management and business-related applications, including ERP systems
Knowledge of industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in supply chain management.
