Job Description

Requirements:

  •  Completion of a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program from an accredited pharmacy school. Must have a B.Pharm degree from a reputable school
  • Experience in community pharmacy practice and proximity to location are added advantage.
  • All pharmacists must be licensed to practice
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience working as a pharmacist
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for interacting with patients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.
  • Pharmacists must have a high level of attention to detail to accurately dispense medications, review prescriptions, and provide dosage instructions.
  •  Pharmacists must adhere to ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality under healthcare regulations and laws.
  • The ability to interpret prescriptions, assess medication interactions, and evaluate patient medical histories requires strong analytical skills.
  •  Proficiency in pharmacy software systems for dispensing medications, managing inventory, and documenting patient information is essential.
  • Time: Alternate shifts (Mon-Sat), alternate weekends
  • Experience in community pharmacy practice and proximity to location are added advantage

Responsibilities:

  • Fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently, ensuring that patients receive the correct medications in the correct dosage and form.
  • Provide medication counseling to patients, including instructions on proper use, potential side effects, and drug interactions. Answer patient questions and address concerns.
  •  Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy, monitor patient adherence, and adjust drug regimens as needed.
  • Offer clinical pharmacy services, such as medication therapy management (MTM), immunizations, health screenings, and disease management programs.
  •  Serve as a drug information resource for healthcare professionals and patients, providing evidence-based information on medication use, dosing, and safety.
  • Ensure medication safety by reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, identifying potential errors or contraindications, and participating in medication error reporting and prevention initiatives.
  •  Oversee pharmacy operations, including inventory management, ordering medications and supplies, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Time: Mon- Fri (3 pm-9 pm), alternate weekends
