Job Description
Responsibilities
- Preparing plans and schedules for farm operations and ensuring efficient resource allocation
- Preparation of budget and financial reports as well as the implementation of cost control measures
- Procurement of farm supplies and record-keeping
- Responsible for the storage, sales, and marketing of farm produce
- Developing and maintaining communications with customers, prospects, offtakes, and service providers consistent with the company’s business objectives
- Assisting with the recruitment, training, and supervision of staff
Requirements
- Successfully completed university studies in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Crop Science or other related discipline
- Extensive knowledge of agricultural policies and risk management practices
- Verifiable years of experience in managing farms
- Excellent business acumen
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
