Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support case-finding activities including offering ICT and ensuring coverage of all contacts identified through ICT.
  • Support retention activities including physical and phone tracking of default clients and pre-appointments reminder contacts.
  • Ensures client access to viral load services as eligible and maintains virological suppression.
  • Support unsuppressed clients to access EAC services, be maintained in such services, and have a post-EAC viral load done
  • Ensure that client folders are up to date, with all accessed services properly documented.
  • Review client services access and address gaps ensuring eligible clients access required services as applicable including cervical cancer screening, ICT services, TB/HIV services, Gender-based services, OVC linkage, OTZ enrolment, PMTCT/ EID, and other eligible services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or competency required.

Education and Experience:

  • S.S.C.E(Minimum qualification)
  • Experience in HTS, adherence counseling, and confidentiality not less than one year.
  • Ability to communicate in English and local language
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Knowledge of the Local Language and familiarity with the norms of the location is preferred.

Language Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Local Language preferred.
  • Demonstrated competency in public speaking.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Outlook/Exchange, Windows operating systems, and PowerPoint.
  • Other software routinely used by HALG.

Work Environment:

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • The employee will be required to co-locate with local partners usually in the same office.
  • The employee is required to travel regularly to often insecure and limited-resource environments.
