Job Summary:

As an Intern Pharmacist, you will be responsible for attending to clients and patients in a highly professional manner, adhering to standard operating procedures and policies.

Responsibilities:

– Conduct drug dispensing activities.
– Provide drug information and advice to other healthcare professionals within the hospital.
– Offer professional service, information, counseling, and guidance to patients on medicines supplied.
– Manage stock efficiently.
– Report dispensing errors and adverse drug reactions promptly.
– Accurately endorse prescriptions for billing purposes and ensure appropriate provision of drugs to different categories of patients.
– Maintain a clean and safe environment in the pharmacy.
– Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adhere to quality standards.
– Review each prescription or order to ensure the appropriateness of the medication for the patient and their clinical needs.

– Prompt reporting of dispensing errors and adverse drug reactions.
– Adequate professional record-keeping.

Job Qualifications:

– Bachelor of Pharmacy.
– Certificate of provisional registration with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria.
– 1- 2 years of experience working in a pharmacy.
