Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create database systems and applications.
  • Develop complex data analysis, methodologies, and predictive data models for assessing the business areas or industries the organization is focused on.
  • Use data findings to analyze and predict trends in the customer base and amongst the organization’s targeted consumer population as a whole.
  • Ensure regular and consistent database updates and management processes are in place to maximize information gathering and utilization.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders for research topics, refine research questions, and design analytical protocols.
  • Develop systems and tools for effective data management, visualization, and interpretation (systems design, dashboards, information graphics, mapping, Tableau).
  • Work closely with executive management and other internal stakeholders by providing technical assistance, and building understanding about data usage.
  • Manipulate and link different data sets using data mining, providing the business with accurate, relevant, and timely data, identifying correlations and patterns, research, and performance information that contributes to a culture of continuous improvement, enhanced efficiency, and evidence-based decision-making for the organization.

Qualifications & Professional Experience

  • BSc.in a relevant discipline such as mathematics, statistics, computer science/ engineering or other related field. A master’s degree will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of proven experience in a data analyst position. Experience working with major datasets in health care would be an added advantage.
  • Statistical/ data analysis certifications will be an added advantage
  • In-depth knowledge of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques.

  • Strong IT and mathematical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively share findings with stakeholders.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail when working with data to make accurate conclusions and predictions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent research and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in statistical programming languages such as STATA, and SPSS.
  • High Proficiency in Excel, with mastery using pivot and Lookup Tables, familiarity with VBA.
  • High Proficiency with Power BI, Power Query, Tableau, etc.
  • At least basic knowledge of programming languages will be an added advantage
