Job Summary

We are in need of a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for immediate employment. As the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment in our steel manufacturing plant. Your role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of mechanical equipment, minimizing downtime, and maintaining production schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment for steel manufacturing processes
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for proposed mechanical systems and projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, technicians, and production staff, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into the manufacturing process.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to prolong the lifespan of machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
  • Implement new technologies and methodologies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and submit regular maintenance reports to the Head of SMS.
  • Lead and coordinate with the maintenance team for any ongoing, breakdown, or shutdown jobs.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance.
  • Academic Qualification: HND / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering

Core Functional Experience

  • Maintenance and operation of induction melting furnaces.
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of electric overhead traveling (EOT) cranes.
  • In-depth knowledge of hydraulic power packs and associated systems
  • Development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical issues.
  • Experience in designing and implementing mechanical systems and machinery for industrial processes.
  • Certification: Occupational Safety & Health Administration Certification.
