Job Description

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Officer plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s human capital management strategies and ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various HR functions, including recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, HR policy compliance, performance management, training and development, HR reporting, and general HR strategy and administration to the internal teams and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate recruitment efforts including preparation of JDs, researching and optimizing the most efficient job posting platforms to publish JDs, candidates screening, interviewing, and selection processes.
  • Assist in the facilitation of the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Support the HR manager in attending to employees’ inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support as needed whilst upholding the organization’s culture.
  • Interpret and enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the revision and/ or development and implementation of HR policies and initiatives to promote a culture of fairness and equity.
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback sessions.
  • Collaborate with managers to identify performance improvement opportunities and develop action plans as needed.
  • Support HR manager in identifying training needs and recommending appropriate solutions
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Implement HR policies, procedures, and programs to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
  • Conduct comprehensive HR assessments for client organizations to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop HR strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Collaborate with internal teams to leverage resources for the delivery of high-quality HR consulting services to clients.
  • Drive client retention efforts by maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and delivering exceptional service.

Requirements

  • Minimum B.Sc/HND
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a human resources role, with a strong understanding of HR principles and practice.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance.
  • The ability to speak articulately and write correctly and professionally is a MUST.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • High-level research skills to foster business growth are pivotal to the success of this role.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • HR Certification will be an added advantage
