Summary:
The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos, Nigeria is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for three (3) Auto mechanic positions in the General Service Office.
Duties
Incumbent serves as a Maintenance Mechanic in the General Services Office/Motorpool (GSO). incumbent is responsible for the daily operation of vehicle maintenance and automotive service scheduling. Incumbent provides quality control for major maintenance on vehicles and performs basic on-site maintenance on vehicles.
Education Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school is required. Vocational automotive repair training, journeyman mechanic, or apprenticeship certification is required.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of experience as an automotive mechanic is required.
Job Knowledge:
Good working knowledge of relevant USG travel regulations and Mission Nigeria travel policies. Good working knowledge of Customs, Immigration, and Port Health Authority’s procedures for clearing cargo/and navigation within the airport is required
