Job Summary

  • The Restaurant Audit Specialist is responsible for conducting audits to ensure compliance with operational, financial, and food safety standards.
  • This role involves assessing processes, identifying discrepancies, and providing actionable insights to improve restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine audits on financial transactions, inventory management, and food safety protocols.
  • Assess compliance with regulatory and company standards in kitchen, service, and storage areas.
  • Review and verify sales records, receipts, and cash handling procedures.
  • Conduct spot-checks on inventory and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement corrective actions based on audit findings.
  • Prepare and present audit reports, detailing observations, recommendations, and action plans.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes affecting restaurant operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 4 – 6 years of experience in auditing, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  • Strong knowledge of internal controls, compliance standards, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software and financial auditing tools is an advantage.
