The purpose of the Performance Management Specialist is to develop and execute programs and projects to evaluate, measure, and improve employee performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the development and implementation of company-wide performance appraisal programs.
Provide advice and recommendations to management and employees.
Oversee the development and implementation of agency core competencies, core values, and key performance measures into the performance appraisal system.
Develop and conduct presentations and training for management on the performance appraisal system.
Develop and conduct presentations and training for staff on the performance appraisal system.
Conduct assessments and gap analyses on employee skills and training.
Develop and implement performance improvement plans.
Assess various staffing needs to determine methods to address current and future conditions, including retention management, realignment, recruitment planning, and career development.
Requirements
Minimum of 2.2/Upper Credit Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Social Science, Arts & Humanities, and other related fields.
2 years of experience in performance management.
Sound knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and statutes.
Best practices relating to employee performance management.
Knowledge of human resources management principles, practices, and procedures.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of workforce planning, succession planning and strategic planning.
Effectively communicating, both orally and written.
Knowledge of project management principles, tools, and techniques.
Critical thinking to identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and recommend effective solutions.
Ability to develop and use of work simplification methods and statistical procedures.
