Job Summary
In accordance with standard operating procedures and standards, this position is accountable for providing clients and patients with professional care.
A list of the responsibilities:
Dispensing activities for drugs.
Give other hospital-based healthcare workers guidance and drug information.
Provide patients expert assistance, knowledge, advice, and counsel regarding prescribed medications.
Stock Control.
Report drug reactions that were not intended.
accurately endorsing prescriptions for billing purposes and giving the proper medications to the right patients.
Keep the pharmacy’s surroundings secure and clean.
Utilize standard operating procedures, rules, and adhere to quality standards.
Review each prescription or order to make sure the medication is right for the patient and their specific clinical requirements.
Critical Areas of Performance:
- Prompt reporting of dispensing errors and adverse drug reactions.
- Adequate professional record keeping.
- Confidentiality and Prompt response to patients’ needs.
- Compliance with SOPS/adherence to quality standards.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor of Pharmacy.
- Certificate of provisional registration with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria
- 1 – 2 years experience working in a pharmacy
