We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Social Media Manager. This position offers the opportunity to showcase your creative writing and Canva design skills in a dynamic environment.

Required Skill

  • Proficiency in creative writing to craft engaging social media content.
  • Strong Canva design skills to create visually appealing graphics.
  •  Ability to work on-site for 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Content creation: Create and curate engaging content for the school’s social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. This content may include announcements, event promotions, student achievements, faculty spotlights, educational resources, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of school life.
  • Social media strategy: Develop and implement a social media strategy aligned with the school’s goals and values. This includes setting objectives, defining target audiences, and determining key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
  • Community engagement: Foster a sense of community and school spirit by actively engaging with followers, responding to comments and messages, and initiating conversations on social media platforms. Encourage user-generated content and participation in online discussions.
  • Brand management: Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all social media platforms. Ensure that content reflects the school’s mission, values, and brand guidelines while staying current and relevant to the target audience.
  • Event promotion: Promote school events, activities, fundraisers, and initiatives on social media to increase attendance and participation. Create event pages, share event details, and encourage RSVPs and ticket sales.
  • Crisis management: Monitor social media channels for any negative feedback, complaints, or crises that may arise. Respond promptly and appropriately to address concerns, resolve issues, and maintain a positive online reputation for the school.
  • Analytics and reporting: Track and analyze social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns, monitor audience engagement, and identify areas for improvement. Prepare regular reports and insights to inform future strategies and decisions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, communications, admissions, and student affairs, to coordinate social media efforts and ensure consistent messaging across all channels. Work closely with school administrators, faculty, and student groups to source content and support their initiatives.
