Job Description

Job Summary

  • This role is responsible for inspecting, installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems of both machines and equipment.
  • Ensure quality and timely delivery of repairs and maintenance works, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Have oversight and leadership to support the general electrical-related issues in the company.
  • Collaborate across lines (engineering maintenance & production stakeholders) and with other team members as required to maintain cohesive, responsive teamwork that achieves relevant targets.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and conduct preventive maintenance on electrical system control equipment
  • Inspects electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify faults, hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Improve daily electrical maintenance work to minimize breakdown and downtime.
  • Maintain up-to-date records related to work performed by the team including uncompleted tasks, and leftover materials/spare parts.
  • Ensure that the team abides by safety regulations, keeping equipment in check to avoid electrical hazards that could cause harm to others.
  • Prioritize daily work orders according to their level of importance to meet deadlines.
  • Implement a total planned preventive maintenance program that follows the manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures as designed.
  • Perform any other assignment by the unit head.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum academic qualification in Higher National Diploma (Engineering/ Electrical / Electronics) from a recognized institution.
  • 5 years of electrical experience
  • A strong working knowledge of technical training, fault finding, and troubleshooting techniques is a must.
  • Good communication (Written and Oral) skills.
  • High level of personal responsibility and accountability for results.
  • Good understanding of electrical, electronics, and instrumentation processes.
  • Ability to interpret electrical, electronics, and instrumentation processes.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize completing needs and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to travel at very short notice.
