Job Summary
Our client needs a Data and Research Officer, who will play a crucial role in supporting our organization’s data-driven decision-making process and research initiatives. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide actionable insights that drive strategic planning and operational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to gather relevant data from various sources, including internal databases, industry reports, and external sources.
- Clean, organize, and validate large datasets to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Analyze data using statistical techniques and data visualization tools to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide analytical support for business initiatives.
- Develop and maintain data management processes and procedures to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis and research methodologies.
Requirements:
- HND/Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data analysis, research, or a related field.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools such as R, Python, or SAS.
- Experience working with databases and data visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in project management and handling multiple priorities is a plus.
